Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing truck engine and/or chassis repair services to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner. Must build rapport with customers through technical expertise and quality service on equipment so, that service value is received. This position requires a self-motivated, thoughtful individual with a high energy level who can work alone or with others in a shop environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates MUST meet the requirements below, to be considered for employment:

  • 5 years of experience in engine and/or chassis repair is required.

  • Must have and maintain a Class A or B CDL. Class A CDL preferred
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Must have Caterpillar and Cummins engine repair experience.
  • Must have experience with Allison Automatic Transmission repair.
  • Must have their tools.
  • Eaton Auto Shift and Eaton Manual Transmission experience are required.
  • Experience with Maxx Force, Detroit Diesel, and Mercedes Benz is a plus but, not required.
  • Must be willing to assist and train technicians
  • Must be able to interact effectively with customers and office personnel

Qualifications:

Candidates MUST possess the following qualifications and skills to be considered for employment.

  • On-highway truck education/certificate of training preferred or equivalent employment history.
  • The candidate must be self-motivated and thoughtful with a high energy level and can work alone or with others in a shop environment.
  • Must be capable of performing complex repairs correctly and safely in a shop environment.
  • Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to engage with customers, vendors, and peers to exchange information, motivate, influence, and persuade.
  • Must present a positive attitude with customers and co-workers as well.
