Truck Driver/Mechanic

Castle Contracting is looking for Truck Driver/Mechanic in Omaha, NE area. Castle is a self-performing contractor in the areas of underground utility work, site development, excavating services and mass grading. This position is a vital function of our local operation, and we are looking for someone ready to jump in and take ownership of our local equipment fleet and support or field teams.

ABOUT THE JOB

• Mobilize all equipment under 19,000 tons

• Coordinates all 3rd party equipment moves for larger equipment

• Document all moves in the dispatch program

• Track and perform maintenance service on all owned equipment

• Make minor repairs of equipment and truck fleet

• Coordinate major repairs with 3rd party vendor

• Maintain small tool, safety supplies and consumable inventories

• As operations continue to grow this position may include managing direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL with a clean driving record for 12+ months

• Ability to load and haul equipment utilizing a truck and trailer

• Ability to multitask and adapt to crew needs on the fly

• Knowledge of local equipment vendors and rental companies

• Must be self-motivated and ably to work independently

• Ability to work OT as required to service field operation needs

• Ability to solve problems and find solutions in a timely manner

• Willing to do whatever it takes to keep our field crews working

• Minimum age 18
