Truck Driver / Internal Hauling

JOB POSTING: 1356 PAY RANGE: $16-$20 STATUS: Hourly WORK HOURS: 40 hours per week; available for additional hours as business needs require. Shifts include days, nights, and weekends. SUMMARY: The driver will transport empty bins to harvest crews the driver has been assigned and deliver the fruit back to the packinghouse. The driver must know and understand the number of bins the assigned harvesting crews will pick and plan accordingly to keep the crews with enough empty bins for that day and the following morning. At times the driver will need to move bins from the one building to another and perform other duties as required. Safety and efficiency, in that order, are the primary goals in this position. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Limoneira's job descriptions describe the key areas of responsibility, but do not attempt to describe all activities or areas of responsibility. In most cases the description covers approximately 80% of an individual's daily, weekly, or monthly job duties. Conduct safety check truck and trailer every morning and fill out inspection paperwork. Plan each day to efficiently service harvesting crews. Communicate with harvest crew in a professional manner. Clearly write hauling tickets Other Job Duties as assigned by Supervisor. Must follow all Safety and Food Safety rules and inform Supervisor of any changes or problems. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must possess Class A license; Preferred English and Spanish speaking; Understand basic mathematics; 3 or more years with agricultural hauling experience preferred.
