About the Role:

Job Summary

The Treasury Manager will be responsible for the cash flow and revenue of all NGHS & Affiliates. This position will manage and oversee all aspects of daily treasury operations to meet the financial obligations of the organization. The Treasury Manager will monitor cash reporting and forecasting, credit administration, lender compliance requirements, and debt facility modeling. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining department policies, procedures, and internal controls. This position is responsible for balance sheet reviews on all related cash and investment accounts.



Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Licensure or other certifications:

  • Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance (or equivalent work experience)

  • Minimum Experience: 7+ years of progressive treasury experience; including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management role in a similar size entity and healthcare industry.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Directs and participates in the monthly and year-end closing process for all Treasury transactions and accounts including audits and external reporting needs.

  • Develops, implements, and maintains policies and procedures to ensure adequate internal controls and regulatory compliance for all NGHS & Affiliates.

  • Implements and maintains key technologies in conjunction with IT to enhance the organizations business processes; implements and maintains LEAN Treasury Accounting policies and procedures with a focus on reduced manual dependencies and stronger internal controls.

  • Reviews and researches or coordinates with staff to identify and research material variances, issues, or anomalies; escalates material items to the Executive Director of Finance/Controller or Senior Leadership as needed.

  • Oversees and reviews the preparation of roll-forward schedules and applicable supporting schedules.

  • Keeps abreast of and monitors developments of newly issued Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and advises the Executive Director of Accounting/Controller and Director of Accounting of potential impact to the organization.

  • Works collaboratively with colleagues throughout finance and NGHS in support of the organization; Serves as the organization's representative and liaison to outside third parties such as financial advisors, bond counsel, and banking representatives as appropriate.

  • Oversees and reviews monthly bank reconciliation, cash balancing, investment reconciliations, cash and security positions in investment portfolio, and other month end close activities.

  • Prepares monthly cash forecast and annual budget forecast; oversees daily and weekly cash operations; seek to automate current processes in reporting and forecasting.

  • Oversees and performs banking operations including wire, ACH and intercompany transfers. Review and approves banking exceptions as appropriate. Works closely with Accounting staff as needed for wire execution.

  • Actively participates in organizational initiatives for enhancement of employee engagement and furtherment of organizational culture/values.

  • Supports Debt Rating reviews, provides requested information; develops and maintains disclosure documents for General Debt refunding and new issuances; review debt payments and arbitrage calculations; maintains all investment and debt records accordingly.
