Job Description Summary This individual responsible for systems & operational support of company's external Cash, Intercompany, investments and day to day management, and support for Cashpool, and internal funding structures. The role supports the closing of the US GAAP ledgers, working closely with the Treasury Global Cash Process leader and the cash team. The role will also work closely with the wider treasury function and businesses to support ongoing operations, and system/financial closing related new initiatives. Serve as advisor and liaison between Businesses/Corporate Controllers, Treasury, Tax, Legal, wider treasury functions, and shared service groups on system and financial closing related issues. This role can be remote with occasional office meetings in Norwalk CT.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the Treasury Controllership team on system related process design, controls, deliverables, reporting rhythms, reviews, etc.
  • Lead Key Accounting initiatives related to ERP, Subledger, related enhancements, Static Data management for Quantum
  • Maintain posting rules related to cash and cash pool in Treasury systems (e.g., Quantum)
  • Maintain ledger details (company codes, chart of accounts) in various systems related to Treasury
  • Assist daily feed reconciliation to ensure all daily transactions feeding from banks and other Treasury systems are fully reconciled investigate and timely resolve any discrepancy
  • Ensure all the cash pool and intercompany activities net to zero for total company resolve issues with Quantum support and businesses
  • Run monthly interest accruals for cash pool, strategic funding loans, ensuring posting accuracy and completeness
  • Resolve suspension items to ensure Quantum is posting to the correct ledgers and accounts daily for all transactions
  • Trouble shoot and assist all business with unreconciled items between bank accounts and account reconciliation
  • Complete special requests from SLT for analysis, research and detailed information including other projects deemed necessary by Treasurer and Corporate Controller
  • Maintain a strong Controls environment with commitment to lean principles
  • Participate in all aspects of Treasury's Monthly/Quarterly Close, SOX compliance, internal controls framework
  • Support efforts and initiatives that drive continuous process improvements and sustainable controllership via process redesign and system enhancements
  • Be a strong partner to broader GE Aerospace controllership & treasury team
  • Interaction with internal and external audit, and support for the auditing process overall
  • The salary range for this position is $128,000 to $214,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive controllership experience
  • Proficient understanding of Treasury management System(s) including Quantum

  • Detailed understanding of accounting systems (ERPs)
