Position Details

The Traveling Aerial Telecom Lineman is responsible for supporting the aerial telecom construction workflows in the field. The lineman will support the foreman and assist the ground hand in his duties. This position will require traveling to current and new project markets which may include Wisconsin, Wyoming, Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, or other locations as business needs are determined. Travel to and from project site to candidates' home, is responsibility of candidate unless the need to drive company provided vehicles/equipment is warranted and approved.

Meal per diem will be paid at the rate of $45.00 per day, seven days per week while deployed.

Lodging per diem will be paid at the rate of $100.00 per day, seven days per week while deployed.

Responsibilities:
  • Lineman is an active, hands-on position that supports the day-to-day activities within an aerial telecom construction crew.
  • Lineman is responsible to actively participate in job site and crew safety and must exhibit and uphold Tilson's safety values.
  • Must have a working knowledge of telecommunications aerial construction including make ready requirements, strand placement, cable placement, lashing, over-lashing, guying, and other aerial telecom construction workflows.
  • Must understand and take direction from Foreman daily and participate in the construction activities of an aerial telecom construction crew.
  • Responsible for safe operation of all aerial bucket trucks and equipment.
  • May be required to assist in underground construction.
  • May be required to pull cable in underground construction or Aerial construction.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to be a leader.
  • Must be a clear and effective communicator and have a positive attitude.
  • The ability to take direction from aerial construction crew management.
  • Valid US Driver's License.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, outside environment.
  • The ability to work safely, with or without supervision.
  • Ability to operate equipment, including, but not limited to aerial bucket truck, lashing equipment, and other equipment.
  • 3+ years' experience working on an aerial telecom construction crew.
  • OSHA 10/30.
  • CDL preferred.

Must be at least 21 years of age to meet Tilson's driving eligibility requirements.

Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position you can expect a pay range of:

$35.00 - $35.00
