Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg (Medical/Surgical) unit. The Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in providing high-quality and compassionate care to patients with various medical and surgical conditions. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering patient-centered care.

Job Details:
  • 13 week assignment
  • Night shift 7:00pm-7:30am
  • Weeklys gross $2,304

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide direct and comprehensive care to patients admitted to the Med/Surg unit, including those with medical and surgical diagnoses.
  2. Assess patients' physical and psychological needs, create individualized care plans, and implement nursing interventions accordingly.
  3. Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage patients' pain to ensure their comfort and safety.
  4. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement a coordinated care plan.
  5. Monitor and interpret patients' conditions, recognizing any changes and taking appropriate actions, such as notifying physicians or initiating interventions.
  6. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Prior experience in a Med/Surg unit or a similar clinical.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and procedures relevant to Med/Surg nursing.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
