Travel Nurse RN

Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Terre Haute, Indiana.

• Ratios- 1:4 (6 nurses on Days, 5 nurses on Nights when fully staffed)

• Required Certifications- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

• Experience Requirements: Must have experience with Stroke patients and titrate drips. They will take first time travelers but needs to have solid nursing experience

• Shifts & Scheduling- Shifts are 7-7:30, Manager works well with the travelers to accommodate any scheduling issues.

• Weekend Requirement- 3 individual weekend shifts are required a month

• Floating Requirement Travelers are the first to float and will only float to units in their skill set.

• Scrub Color/Dress code - Navy Blue

• Unit/Department specific orientation 4 hours of Cerner orientation and then the rest of the day with the clinical educator. Then 1-2 shifts of floor specific orientation

• Additional Notes- Very traveler friendly hospitals and unit. They embrace their travelers and treat them like family. Making sure they are part of the team.

2EB (Stroke/Open Heart Step-Down/Glucostabilzer) 20 beds

• Listed as Progressive in Cerner

• All patients have telemetry monitoring at bedside.

• Telemetry remotely monitored 24/7

• Telemetry monitors at the nurse's station
IV Drips

• Nitro (up to 20mcg)

• Amio (able to initiate and decrease from 33ml/hr to 17 ml/hr after 6 hours)

• Cardizem

• Dopamine (no titration)

• Dobutamine (no titration)

• Heparin

• Insulin

• Primacor
Patient
(All the same as 2EA plus the following)

• Acute Stroke

• Post TPA >24 hours

• Glucostabilizer

• TAVR recovery

• Watchman recovery

• Temp Pacemakers

• Bipap patients

• Cardiac overflow if needed
