To care for these patients, float pool staff go to the emergency department and treat these patients as if they are on an inpatient unit. Staff are NOT taking care of emergency room patients, inpatient holds only. Staff Support- All travel staff will report to the Nurse Manager of the Clinical Resource Office (CRO). Schedules are published in four-week increments (block scheduling will be limited based on hospital needs). Schedules are available to view in Shift Wizard, the scheduling tool UHS uses. It is available on all the desktops and there is an app you may choose to download. Daily assignments come from the CRO. You will receive a text with your daily assignment, typically 1 hour before the scheduled shift.
