As a Remote Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructures for our clients. While the day-to-day operations will be conducted remotely, this role requires frequent travel to client sites, typically ranging from 40% to 70% of the time, with all travel expenses covered.

Responsibilities:
  • Network Design and Implementation: Collaborate with clients to understand their network requirements and design customized solutions to meet their needs. Implement network configurations, protocols, and security measures to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients, diagnosing and resolving network issues in a timely manner. Utilize diagnostic tools and methodologies to identify and address network problems effectively.
  • Network Optimization: Continuously monitor and assess network performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and scalability. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, topology diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures. Generate regular reports to summarize network performance, highlight key metrics, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Client Engagement: Foster strong relationships with clients through clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and exceptional service delivery. Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance and recommendations to help clients achieve their business objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in network engineering, with expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
  • Proficiency in network security principles and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Flexibility to travel to client sites as needed (40% to 70% of the time), with all travel expenses covered by the company.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA) are a plus.
