Anticipated start date: ASAP
Salary range: $2,300-$2,500 weekly
Anticipated duration of contract: 13 week assignment with option to extend
Anticipated schedule: 4x10s

CVOR Surgical Technologist Daily Range of Responsibilities:
Comforts patients by welcoming them to the cardiology suite; answering their questions; responding to requests.
Review physician and patient documentation to schedule appointments
Prep the Cardiovascular operating room and help with preoperative care and transport.
Supports physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular ailments by helping physicians wind a catheter through a patient's blood vessel to the heart.
Set-up surgical tables, instruments, and supplies required for specific operations.
Assists in preparation and draping of patient and operative area.
Prepares and passes instruments, sutures, and supplies needed in the operative procedure and maintains a correct count.
Completes electro-cardio-grams (EKGs or ECGs) by attaching electrodes to the patient's chest, arms, and legs; manipulating switches on a electrocardiograph machine to obtain a reading.

CVOR Surgical Technologist Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent desired.
1+ years' experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room.
Certification from Technical School in Operating Room Technician preparatory program or Surgical Technician preparatory program.
Current National licensure (NBSTSA or NCCT) or State license where applicable.
One or more year(s) of current experience in a comparable or equivalent job classification required.
Active Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for HealthCare Workers or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification for HealthCare workers.
Compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information.
Compliant with Infection Control, Standard Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
