Travel Contract Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia
Location: Various healthcare facilities in Rochester, NY
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Pay:
- Weekly stipend: $1,316.00
- Weekly pay rate: $1,260.00
- Total weekly compensation: $2,576.00
Job Title: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN)
Shifts:
- Shift times may vary per facility
- Rotating shifts may be required
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
- Monitor vital signs, assess pain levels, and manage post-operative complications.
- Administer medications and intravenous fluids as prescribed.
- Monitor patients for signs of respiratory distress or other post-operative complications.
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgical team members to ensure safe patient care.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in post-anesthesia care.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
