RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cath Lab Techs work u nder the supervision of the physician, operat ing X-ray equipment, performing as a surgical scrub assistant , and preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients . Cath Lab Tech j ob responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare patients for procedures , review medical history, position patients, and clean ing /shavi ng /numb ing the testing sites as appropriate
- Monitor patient pre- and post-procedure, report ing any abnormal findings in patient's condition
- Cath Lab techs assist with equipment, supplies, and lab area set up and room turnovers
