Our Trauma department wants to add a Trauma & Emergency General Surgery Data Lead to their diverse team. Our ideal candidate will ensure data quality among the other analysts, run reports, and provide training for the team. Someone who has AAAIM Coding, ATS Registry Course, CAISS, and CSTR certifications. Must start at or before 7:00 a.m. 8-hour shifts Monday - Friday Remote with some in-house days throughout the year Overview Barnes-Jewish Hospital is the St. Louis region's top adult hospital. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose This position is responsible for maintaining concurrency to meet the required standards as set forth by the accrediting bodies. This position will be primarily responsible for onboarding all new Trauma/Emergency General Surgery Registry staff and for assuring accuracy of all the data within the registries. The position is also responsible for all report generation within each registry for research, process improvement initiatives and submission to each accrediting body. Responsibilities Onboarding and training of new Trauma and Emergency General Surgery Registrars. Serves as a resource for all Trauma and EGS registrars (levels 1-4). Ensures data accuracy and validity in both Trauma and Emergency General Surgery Registries by running registry reports, delegating error fixes, tracking registrar IRRs, and creation of the registrar scorecards. Provides all data to the Registry Manager for tracking and performance management. Offers education and clarification on accuracy and validity to Coders as needed. Ensures all patients are captured into the registries by running EPIC reports, verifying data using NTDB rules for inclusion. Assists the Manager with oversite for accrediting bodies by interacting with reviewers during site reviews as needed.
