Responsibilities:

As a Transportation Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

1. Overseeing all aspects of our transportation department, including our drivers and vehicle fleet.
2. Developing and implementing efficient operational procedures to improve overall efficiency and meet organizational goals.
3. Managing and optimizing logistics and route planning for both fixed-route and paratransit services.
4. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
5. Conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to enhance team productivity.
6. Addressing and resolving any issues or complaints related to transportation operations promptly.
7. Collaborating with other departments to integrate logistics with company processes.
8. Leading and developing a high-performing team to ensure driver availability and meet service demands.
9. Implementing safety measures and maintenance schedules to ensure the longevity of our vehicle fleet.
10. Preparing and managing the transportation department's budget.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Transportation Operations Manager role should possess the following:

1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Operations Management, Logistics Management, Performance Management, and Team Leadership.
2. Proven experience in managing paratransit and fixed-route services.
3. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
4. Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead a high-performing team.
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strategic approach to challenges.
6. Proficiency in managing logistics and route planning for maximum efficiency.
7. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
8. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
9. Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
10. A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
