Our experts include liver transplant surgeons, transplant hepatologists, gastroenterologists, anesthesiologists, pathologists, radiologists, and nurses. We're seeking a Transplant Manager in the Liver Center, who is responsible fordeveloping, managing, maintaining and coordinating delivery of quality patient care for designated program. + Responsible for collaborating with the physicians, ETC leadership, and members of the interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and manage consistent patient care by assuming the roles of program leader, educator, resource person, researcher, and indirect and patient care giver. + Will manage patients, policies, and procedures to preserve efficient, cost effective, quality care to both patients and Emory Hospitals; participate in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices and developments; participate in data collection for department research and benchmarks; and work with the senior manager to formulate plans for professional development and growth of staff. + Supervises staff of RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Coordinators, and administrative staff for specific program area. Provides on-going performance feedback, identifies and addresses problems, verifies competency, and conducts performance reviews. + Maintains records on departmental personnel activities and processes. Posting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding for new staff. Identifies strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and constraints within specific program area and actively engages with leadership to address these. Identifies measurable objectives and monitors progress toward the achievement of specified goals in keeping with operational standards. + Serves as liaison between specified program team and other internal and external customers. Ensures adherence to all regulatory policies; works with director and senior manager to ensure program survey readiness. + Maintains regulatory documentation for assigned program area. Maintains knowledge of clinic operations and program budgets; assists in development of annual budget for assigned program. + Manager will serve as liaison and works closely with NKR to foster continued development of policies and procedures related to donor registry. Point of contact for business agreements and/or contracts with external vendors such as NKR, CHOA, laboratory contractors as needed to provide services to patients. Due to special considerations for Living Donor billing, works closely with Patient Financial Services to manage operations related to billing, reimbursement opportunities, revenue cycle management, payment variances for donor patients and NKR reimbursements. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + Bachelor's degree in nursing. + Five (5) years of recent, clinical, medical-surgical nursing experience, which includes two years in the care of the specific transplant population AND one (1) year of supervisory experience or one (1) year of experience as a transplant coordinator. + Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
