Transmission Security Engineer I with Security Clearance

Our firm is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to support our customer in Fort Meade, Maryland as a Transmission Security Engineer who will be responsible for:
Assisting with providing engineering knowledge for secure communication activities. Developing, analyzing, and providing feedback on wired/wireless voice, video, and data communications systems. Providing fundamental engineering or analytical activities associated with technical areas within the communications function. Assisting in the development TRANSEC requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, detail trade studies, systems integration, and test (verification), validation and interface definition studies of system, subsystem, or system elements. Evaluating customer requirements, develop system requirements and define allocations to lower levels (subsystem, elements, and components) for TRANSEC CONOPS. Evaluating systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications. Developing system security documentation on both new and fielded information systems. Researching and analyzing data of various products to include COTS/GOTS components and GFE to determine feasibility of design or application. Researching and providing input to standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of technical engineering products. Providing valuable research for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. Examining and providing feedback of a complete and complex framework, system, or product. Possessing broad knowledge to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. Identifying and analyzing system design weaknesses, provides proposed system improvements Understanding and tailoring TRANSEC systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories. Contributing to the development of innovative principles and ideas involving successful TRANSEC missions. Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor of Science from a four-year college in Engineering emphasis in transmission security (wired/wireless). Seven (7) years of work experience in wire/wireless security engineering on various systems. General experience in adversary technological capabilities and the various techniques to overcome or avoid exploitation.
General prior experience securing data for DoD based LPI/LPD/LPE communication systems. Familiarity with current DoD systems, DoD/Commercial Waveforms. Basic Experience communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions. Security Clearance with an appropriate agency Polygraph is required.
