Transfer Quality Tech 1-4 will work on Transfer Quality Team. The focus for this job and team in 2024 relates to plant closings in Tuttlingen, Germany (Project Crios) & Beijing, China (Project Pluto) and moving products related to other SNO manufacturing sites or suppliers. This person will be supervised by a Quality Project Manager and have some oversight from the Transfer Quality Manager. This person will closely work or pair up with a Quality Engineer. Main responsibilities for this position will be: gage design, Inspection Drawings, CAD work for CMM & Comparator fixtures and inspection assistance that might include help on First Articles, Baseline, Process Development and other physical/dimensional part inspection. This job will also include CMM inspection operation and programming. NOTE: QT level 1-4 dependent primarily on experience and total skillset.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.
1. Primary focus will be CAD oriented either for gage design, fixture design, 2D files for digital overlays, or inspection drawings
2. This job will directly support a Quality Engineer for gage design, gage quotes, gage MSA, gage calibration, reject data review, and inspection plan/inspection drawing revisions.
3. Position will require the use of technical measurement equipment, measuring techniques and knowledge of advanced use of PC and computer systems and associated software.
4. Revise and create gages for inspection of legacy transfer items.
5. Utilize CAD to create 3D files for testing CMM fixture, comparator fixture, and gage design concepts by 3D printing concept designs.
6. Assist CMM inspection by providing CMM fixtures and CAD files such as 3D IGES files for CMM programming.
7. Provide 2D DXF files for digital overlays likely for Screws, Nails, and Femorals.
8. Assists QE with ECR work especially for Inspection Drawings
9. Assists or performs part inspection work such as: First Articles, Baseline, and Process Development part inspections. Inspection to handled base on SNO methods/procedures inspection plans/inspection drawings and withing the framework of the FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ISO 9001 standards.
10. Coach/teach others to learn CAD skills for gage design, fixture design, DXF digital overlay files.
11. Interacts with internal sources or suppliers to ensure that gauges or products are manufactured to design.
12. Performs R and R studies to ensure proper and reliable gauging.
13. Accurately interprets GD&T and applies the principles to gauge and product designs. Provides technical support to the Inspection and Shop Floor Areas.
14. May be cross trained and assigned to other Quality Control areas if job requirements dictate.
15. CMM operation and programming.
