The Training and Development Specialist will manage the design, evaluation, implementation, administration, and facilitation of company-wide training programs.

  • Oversees all training initiatives throughout the company which include sales, service, safety, HR, and IT training.
  • Leads the training committee and participates in any training subcommittee meetings.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify present and future training needs based on company initiatives, legal and regulatory changes, career development needs, and other factors.
  • Develops or assists with the development of training requirements by position and maintains a company-wide training calendar; tracks required initial and refresher training schedules.
  • Plans, researches, designs, develops, facilitates, and delivers in person and virtual training sessions on a variety of topics.
  • Reviews existing training programs and suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention, and/or to meet the changing needs of the organization.
  • Designs, drafts, and/or acquires training materials.
  • Consults with subject matter experts (SME's) as necessary to ensure accuracy of training content developed.
  • Manages logistics for training sessions including scheduling, setting up training room with required equipment and materials, and preparing and distributing handouts, etc.
  • Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or training and development, strongly preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years related experience in designing, delivering, and/or training consulting required.
