• Vacation and Sick pay. Now that we've introduced ourselves, lets give you a rundown of what you'll be doing. As a Program Field Trainer, you will: Provide training to newly hired and tenured House Supervisors, Developmental Disability Professionals (DDP), and Department Directors in accordance with all regulatory agencies (i.e. Department of Mental Health : Division of DD (DMH), HIPAA, CARF, DOL) and organization policies and processes using all available resources; Assist with supervision during the first 60 days onboarding for House Supervisors, DDP's, and Department Directors to include actionable measures based on performance strengths and concerns; Work side-by-side with new HSs, DDPs, and DDs to ensure their job responsibilities and expectations are understood during the first 60 days; Provide feedback to the employee's supervisor regarding their training and performance. Provide additional 1:1 training in areas identified by trainee or their supervisor as requested; Provide ongoing support and follow-up to ensure understanding and application of training concepts at 90-day, 6 months, and 1-year intervals after the initial training; Coordinate with program management staff and Director of Training on training needs identified in the programming department. Develop training content from scratch, utilizing available CDD resources as well as conducting research on relevant topics as needed; Manage the Relias Learning Management System (LMS) as an education tool by assigning, monitoring, and tracking training progress, ensuring compliance and proficiency; Update training materials and content to reflect the needs of CDD, industry trends and emerging topics of importance; Utilize industry knowledge and emerging trends to inform content creation, ensuring training materials remain relevant and up to date; Participate actively in related agency activities as requested in order to stay abreast of CDD and DMH initiatives and program requirements. Provide in-service trainings that are job specific to program staff and assist with random competency testing as needed; You would probably be great for this role if you have the following:
  • High school diploma
  • At least one-year experience as a Trainer
  • At least two years' experience as a House Supervisor or Developmental Disabilities Professional (DDP). Experience can be a combination from being a House Supervisor or DDP
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required)
  • Able to stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, kneel, and sit for extended periods of time.
