Traffic Management Specialist with Security Clearance

Duties Act as a subject matter expert, setting policy and overseeing program operations regarding transportation. Provide knowledge of traffic management principles, regulations (DTR), and global transportation networks (air, land, sea). Utilize logistics information systems to track shipments, manage data, and ensure compliance (e.g., GCCS-J, IGC, SMS). (e.g., GCCS-J, IGC, SMS)-Global Command, and Control System-Joint, Integrated Data Environment/Global Transportation Network Convergence, and Strategic Management System). Analyze transportation data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and develop cost-effective solutions. Communicate and coordinate skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders (military, government, commercial carriers). Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position may require some TDY travel - approximately 20%. The incumbent may be required to work nonstandard duty hours (e.g., shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime-both scheduled and unscheduled. This position is designated as Key. In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the Key duties until relieved by proper authority. The incumbent, or the designated alternate, may be required to take part in readiness exercises. This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively. Therefore, the position is designated "key", which requires the incumbent, or designated alternate, to be screened from military recall status. In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. The ability to obtain and/or maintain a top-secret security clearance.
