We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Traffic Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing traffic engineering projects to enhance the safety and efficiency of our transportation networks. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about shaping the future of transportation, and who possesses a deep understanding of traffic engineering principles, civil engineering, traffic safety analysis, and traffic engineering design. This role will require a high level of collaboration with various teams, including urban planners, civil engineers, and local government officials.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and oversee traffic engineering projects, including traffic signal design, traffic control plans, and roadway signage.
2. Conduct comprehensive traffic safety analyses to identify potential hazards and propose effective solutions.
3. Develop and implement traffic models to predict traffic flow patterns and identify areas for improvement.
4. Collaborate with urban planners and civil engineers to design and implement transportation infrastructure projects.
5. Prepare detailed reports and presentations on project progress, findings, and recommendations.
6. Stay updated on current industry standards, technology trends, and government regulations related to traffic engineering.
7. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
8. Collaborate with local government officials to secure necessary permits and approvals.
9. Participate in community meetings to address public concerns and provide information on planned projects.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic engineering design or a related field.
3. Proven experience in traffic safety analysis and traffic safety.
4. Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
5. Proficiency in using traffic engineering software such as HCS, Synchro, and VISSIM.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
