Traffic Engineer

Job Description

While managing tasks and serving as a key technical resource, the candidate will work with a wide variety of clients that include state DOTs, counties, municipalities, and metropolitan planning organizations. Ideal candidate will have broad-based, hands-on experience in traffic engineering and will routinely perform traffic engineering work that may involve the following:

Traffic operations analysis to support transportation and traffic planning studies and designs.

Conduct traffic impact analysis studies.

Design traffic signal systems, lighting systems, fiber optics, traffic control, signing, and pavement markings.

Traffic signal timing and optimization.

Analyze traffic and crash data and intersection safety studies.

Review technical work prepared by team members.

Engage in business development efforts and public engagement.
