Class Summary Job Description This Trades Technician III (Plumber), is responsible for performing journeyman trades duties and serving as leadin the specialty area of plumbing. Essential Duties Responding to field and emergency calls to troubleshoot damage, as well as to perform repairs and replacements as needed Assigning work to staff and following up on their completion, in the absence of the Foreman Processing work orders using a Computerized Asset Management System Ensuring staff are trained, and following all county and department policies and procedures Processing daily work requests, and assisting with the operating budget process Performing highly complex plumbing installations and repairs, as well as general maintenance Maintaining and stocking assigned vehicle per standard operating procedures (SOP) Maintaining records and preparing reports Maintaining a healthy and safe work environment Utilizing and responsible for assigned tablet,cellular phone, and credit card, per SOP Other Job Requirements/Information This job is a safety-sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing. Grade The grade for this position is B233. Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, or G.E.D. Four years of trade experience An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
