In this position, you will work as the Trades/Maintenance Worker for Enterprise Asset Management alongside exceptional trades people tasked with taking care of our buildings and the systems within. Your primary role will be to provide semi-skilled repair and maintenance support services to buildings and building systems within Department of Administrative Services (DAS) owned and/or leased buildings in the Wilsonville/Portland Metro area. The working schedule for this position is from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The working schedule may be negotiable and will be discussed and agreed upon between the hiring manager and successful candidate. Staff working in this facility may have visual or sensory exposure to an assortment of Forensics Laboratory, Environmental & Biological Lab, or Medical Examiner Laboratory environments that could include unsanitary evidence contaminated with body fluids from crime location, materials from Medical Examiner's lab, or body evidence from deceased persons. Working near this evidence or the materials may be required to perform job duties. Staff performing work in secure areas or labs will be escorted by Forensics or Medical staff at all times. What We Are Looking For Minimum Qualifications: Two years of: a) general building maintenance; b) carpentry; c) electrical; d) mechanical; e) painting; or f) plastering experience. A journeyman's license/card in any of the above trades will substitute for this experience. Be sure a copy of your journeyman's license/card is attached to your application form. Position Specific Skills & Experience - Experience providing general maintenance repairs to commercial buildings includes repair of building mechanical equipment, sheet metal fabrication, gas or arc welding, repairs to air compressors, valves and control systems, pumps, fire systems, refrigeration equipment, café equipment (dishwashers, water heaters, food coolers, ice machines, etc.).
