Position : Spooler Operator Date: 2024 Salary Status: Hourly - Non-Exempt, B Classification Organization Function : Operations - Production Country : USA Location : El Dorado, AR Reports to (title) : Production Supervisor Context Follow all work instructions to build assemblies per customers' orders Ensure high quality products are produced the first time Purpose Operate equipment in the Spooling area of the plant. Creates/Assembles multiple conductor cables for further use in the jacket areas Areas of responsibility Setup and operate specific equipment in large assemblies' areas Effectively communicate with other operators and shift supervisors to solve production issues Examine products for completion per specifications. Report issues/ideas to Production Manager Typically work 12 hour shifts Ability to re-work cable from other departments as needed Follow 5-S program Produce quality products by following work instructions, SOP's, and department head guidance Adheres to all Nexans AmerCable's Safety Standards and Safe Work Practices. Follows and abides by Nexans Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Standards. Expected results Build cable assemblies per specifications Achieve KPI's for on time delivery, variances, and first pass yield Position sizing N-1=0 Required skills and qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Basic mechanical skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Be able to stand for extended periods of time Computer and mathematical knowledge and skills Ability to work a varied schedule with the possibility of overtime Ability to use small hand tools and have eye hand coordination Ability to become forklift certified OUR GROWTH CULTURE Among our employees we share the same values- we are pioneers of the energy transition, dedicated to deliver to the highest standards of performance, united to achieve our ambitious goal.
