Job Details
Responsibilities:
Develop the DFM guidelines for the components of electric machines
Develop and implement Bill of Design (Design Standard) updates of components for DFM Supporting AME for new tooling designs resulting from DFM activities
Develop best practices from program launch and supplier production process globally
Lead Center of Expertise to train learnings globally Support 8D problem solving for design launch Perform engineering analysis on components / tooling, mentor designers and present design rationale to team
Work with suppliers and internal manufacturing to assure feasibility of designed components
Provide technical support for component issues arising in manufacturing
Provide process cost reduction ideas for component families
Provide opportunities for new technology approaches in the component family
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required
5 Years of professional engineering experience in product and/or manufacturing engineering
Automotive experience highly preferred
Manufacturing and assembly process knowledge is preferred
