Job Summary Hiring Range: $46,000.00 - $49,500.10 annually (salary to be commensurate with qualifications) This position has an anticipated work schedule of Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, subject to change. Under FLSA guidelines, this position is non-exempt. Provides support to the Coordinator of Titles/Ownership. Performs routine clerical functions such as answering phones and customer service. Essential Duties/Responsibilities + Numbers Deeds, checks ownership and title to real estate properties. + Verifies legal descriptions with the maps. + Processes breaks on real estate properties when needed. + Checks and verifies meets and bounds of real estate property. + Archives all documents on microfilm by ownership. + Does extensive searches for ownership and transfers of ownership. + Verifies ownership of Mineral Rights. + Processes name and address changes after verifying by entering in the computer system. + Provides backup with Daily Abstract with the Districts and Abstracts Coordinator is absent. + Provides service to the public, answers phones and provides information to title companies. + Provides assistance to the Districts and Abstract Coordinator in completing maps for new districts and new tax districts. + Prints deed off microfiche when other technician is absent. + Performs other duties as required. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when working with the public. + An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the ability to type, file and perform data entry. + Must be able to type 45 wpm. + Ability to operate basic office equipment including computer, fax and multi-line phone. + Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Required Education and Experience: + High school diploma or equivalent education. + Three years clerical or secretarial experience. Preferred Education and Experience: + College courses in business, accounting or related field. + Three years clerical or secretarial experience in an assessor's office or accounting environment. Licenses/Certificates: + Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Pre-Employment Requirements: + Must pass conditional post offer background investigation, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.
