Tier II Network Technician with Security Clearance

A&M Technologies has an opening for a Tier II Network Technician and Communication Security (COMSEC) Responsible Officer to support the customer's computer data communications systems, in providing design specifications, testing and inspections for computer networks; plan and implementing upgrades; as well as, analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling. The job duties of the Tier II Network Technician / COMSEC Responsible Officer are a combination of both networking and COMSEC responsibilities and experience as follows: Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades utilizing the customer ticketing application ServiceNow .
Create and maintain a COMSEC file plan IAW COMSEC policy, and an authorized COMSEC access list.
Ensure cryptographic equipment is keyed IAW the supporting key's effective and supersession dates.
Ensure TPI requirements are followed when handling Top Secret COMSEC material.
Establish a comprehensive COMSEC training program for all briefed individuals.
Implement standard network change requests and incident requests within standard timelines.
Maintain accountabilities for all COMSEC material issued to their subaccount.
Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and inventoried.
Prepare a written emergency plan detailing how COMSEC equipment should be handled in emergency situations; ensure COMSEC briefed personnel are properly trained on this document.
Processes all transfer, destruction, & inventory documents in a timely manner; return paperwork to the program office.
Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys, coordinate and install new equipment).
Report any known or suspected COMSEC incidents.
Return all excess or faulty equipment within the appropriate time frames utilizing the appropriate security processes.
Support the installation and maintenance of the client's Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN) devices.
Validate the continuing need for COMSEC material held on the account by creating a Requirements Letter. REQUIREMENTS
TS SCI CI Poly Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years, master's and 4 years, bachelor's and 6 years, associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years. Additional required qualifications include: Must comply with DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2. COMSEC, Layer 1, and Layer 2 network experience.
Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals, crypto convert, IApp management system, layer 2 switching concepts, layer 3 protocols such as Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), and Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, and ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) products.
