The Tier 1 Operations Center Engineer with extensive system administrative experience to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our clients IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will encompass providing advanced technical support for end users, maintaining and optimizing network systems, managing server environments, and supporting other team members. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: At least 1 year experience supporting and troubleshooting end-user systems, including hardware and software, telephony, printers, scanners, video conferencing, and other technologies
Executable knowledge of MS O365, Azure AD, Domain Controllers, and Windows OS
Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure Windows/Linux
Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and sys management tools
Analyze high-level needs across all systems
Capability and requirement derivation based on customer needs Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies (Veeam, AWS, SolarWinds, Azure)
May write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks, (PowerShell, Ansible, Python)
Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
Provide 1st level support
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Maintains a "customer focus" attitude to ensure customer satisfaction Providing clear, concise, and timely communication with customers, supervisors, and project managers
Work within a team environment and attend meetings with other team members, customers, etc.
Working with all technologies: AWS, Windows Server, SQL, Active Directory, Folder Redirection and Roaming Profiles, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP (including scope options), Office 365(Exchange Online, SharePoint Online), F5
Experience both analyzing, building, and maintaining current/new environments. Documenting customer environments and creating solutions and processes. TECHNICAL SKILL & CERTIFICATIONS: Experience with AWS, VMWare/Hyper-V, Exchange, Office 365, F5
Proficiency in network protocols, configurations, and security (e.g., TCP/IP, VPN, Firewalls)
Ability to analyze high level needs Ability to define a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that lead to a fielded product
Experience with Windows & Unix/Linux systems. GPO, Folder Redirection, Roaming Profiles, Active Directory, Red Hat, MS Exchange (SMTP mail Flow)
Monitoring (SNMP/WMI)
Ability to work off hours, weekends, or night shift as needed to support a 24 x 7 Network Operations Center (NOC). (Rarely)
Valid driver's license and current insurance, as well as a good driving record. Will have occasional need to travel to end client sites to provide support (Rarely)
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
