Arundel Lodge, Inc. is a behavioral health agency that strives to improve the lives of children, adults, and families impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. The Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center, located on the campus of Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center, serves those in need of short-term urgent care to manage a mental health or substance use disorder. We are excited to announce the state-funded Rapid Access for Youth (RAY) Team, operating within the Behavioral Health Urgent Crisis Center (BHUCC). The RAY Team focuses on bridging local students experiencing behavioral health needs and their families with appropriate behavioral health care services.

Education and Experience: The applicant must have a Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling and Maryland licensure; LMSW or LGPC is required. LCSW-C or LCPC is preferred. Minimum of two years experience working in a behavioral health treatment setting implementing psychotherapeutic and crisis intervention services required. Care coordination experience is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities include;

  • Works with diverse populations, demographics, and age groups to provide collaborative care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation
  • Responsible for the provision of psychotherapy and care coordination services
  • Demonstrate competence to independently assess and treat guests in crisis in a person-centered, compassionate manner
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate and collaborate with both internal and external customers; assess, adapt, and calmly respond to changing/or crisis environment
  • Flexibility to assess and treat guests/families with a variety of behavioral health conditions and needs.
  • . Demonstrate competence in the provision of individual/family therapy and group therapy as needed
  • Collects, tabulates data, and alerts treating team to potential/risk issues.
  • Complete accurate and timely utilization review/obtaining and documentation of authorizations
