Test Lab Technician

This position will have the responsibility of accomplishing performance, reliability, and/or agency testing on end products, sub-assemblies, and components in a design team atmosphere. Reports To: GROUP ENGINEERING DIRECTOR, MARVEL/U-LINE/VIKING KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assemble units, sub-assemblies, and components for testing. 2. Instrument units, sub-assemblies and components for testing. 3. Utilize in-house data acquisition systems for capturing data during testing. 4. Prepare test reports on in-progress and completed tests. 5. Conduct testing as assigned by Lab Supervisor. 6. Work with Engineers on various product qualification testing. 7. Identify discrepancies relating to testing and/or laboratory equipment. 8. Maintain acceptable lab appearance. High school diploma, or equivalency. 2+ years' experience with refrigeration products. Effective communication skills, both verbally and written. Ability to use basic hand tools, read charts and graphs, and ability and willingness to learn new tasks. Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and ability to work accurately, with interruptions, to meet deadlines in short lead-times. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful, with a positive, professional attitude. Practice safety and adhere to all company safety policies.
