Posting Details Position Title Temporary Research & Assessment Analyst Job Category Temp Office/Department Institutional Research Work Environment Remote Location Remote Staff Job Type Full-time If Temporary or Visiting, Estimated End Date: 02/06/2026 Position Summary and Duties SCOPE:Reporting to the Assistant Director of Institutional Research, the Research & Assessment Analyst performs the collection, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of official university data to both external and internal constituencies. Coordinates all aspects of various internal and external student assessment surveys and supports the vision and mission of the University's work within Institutional Effectiveness with attention to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion as pillars of academic excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Collaborate and communicate with various departments and stakeholders across campus regarding student, institutional, and program-level assessment needs Oversee and manage the University's Course Evaluation platform and processes. Develop, coordinate, analyze, and report on internal and external annual and tri-annual student satisfaction assessment surveys. Prepare routine and ad hoc analytical/statistical reports as required Design reports, spreadsheets, data visualizations, and procedural documentation Manage and merge data from various sources Interpret official institutional statistics for a wide variety of external agencies as well as internal constituencies Participate in cross-functional team projects Participate in institutional research projects and tasks depending on the demands and priorities of the university Commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion as pillars of academic excellence Commitment to developing an understanding of the Jesuit, Catholic academic mission of the University Perform other related duties as required Required Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience:o Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline required, Master's degree preferredo At least two years of experience with database management systems and data analysiso Experience working in a college/university setting is desired but not required Technical Skills:o Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPointo Experience with Scantron, Qualtrics, or other similar survey platformso Experience with data visualization tools including Tableauo Experience working with large datasets and a working knowledge of SPSS o Experience with the Ellucian Colleague ERP system is desired but not required Problem-solving and Critical Thinking Skills:o Strong attention to detail and accuracyo Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve data analysis problemso Ability to work independently as well as in a team environmento Excellent organizational skillso Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and follow through all phases to completion Interpersonal Skills:o Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environmento Communicate effectively both orally and in writingo Ability to apply tact and good judgment in dealing with all levels of university staff, administrators, and facultyo Discretion in handling confidential information Preferred Qualifications Job Posting Date 02/28/2024 Priority Application Deadline Date Job Close Date Anticipated Start Date University Description Loyola University Maryland is a Jesuit, Catholic university committed to the educational and spiritual traditions of the Society of Jesus and to the ideals of liberal education and the development of the whole person.
