People First is looking for a high-energy, customer-focused individual to join our team. As a Teller, you are the company's " face, " and our mission is to provide the highest quality financial services in a friendly, convenient, personalized atmosphere. The Teller assists members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments. Recommend products/services to help members achieve their financial goals.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Delivers an exceptional member experience by actively listening to our member's needs through various communication channels. Uncovers financial solutions through conversations and recommends credit union products and services that support the member's financial goals. Maintains current knowledge of all credit union services, policies, and promotions.
  • Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
  • Cross-sells credit union services.
  • Balances cash drawer and daily transactions with minimal errors.
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including keyboarding, filing, computer input, and answering the phone.

Must be available to work the following hours:

  • Monday thru Thursday 8:45 am - 5:30 pm
  • Friday 8:45 am - 6:00 pm
  • Saturday 8:45 am to 12:30 pm (rotation)

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual Skills (English and Spanish) Skills required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Six to twelve months of Teller experience is preferred
  • Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information that may require some discussion.
  • Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
  • Good listening, communication, and computer skills.
  • Able to make decisions with minimum information.
  • General office equipment such as computers, copiers, and scanners. Includes the ability to learn and adapt to new technology and processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of established credit union procedures and policies. Understanding of credit union operations. Maintains confidentiality related to credit union operations and work-related information.

Compensation details: 17.51-19.01 Hourly Wage
