Telecommunications Specialist with Security Clearance

Job Title: Telecommunications Engineering Specialist Job Location: Lexington, MA Overview: Abacus Technology is seeking a Telecommunications Engineering Specialist to provide technical support for strategic network and information services at Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position. Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• Design or configure voice, video, and data communications systems.

• Supervise installation and post-installation service and maintenance. Qualifications: 5+ years experience in network and telecommunications support. Associates degree in engineering or an IT-related field. Must be Security+ CE certified. Must have strong analytical and technical skills related to projects to assist in implementing project objectives and solutions. Demonstrated computer/automation experience with a fundamental knowledge of LAN, WAN technologies and Internet protocols and Fiber Optic Networks (FON). Knowledge of commercial and military standards and best practices. Must be highly motivated, a self-starter and customer oriented with ability to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment. Effective interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal. Must be willing to provide on-call support. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
