Technical Writer with Security Clearance

Amentum is seeking a Technical Writer at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity (NSWCDD DNA) Virginia to assist with systems and technical engineering services.We will provide systems and technical engineering services across Total Ship Training Capabilities (TSTC) by implementing disciplined and rigorous System Engineering processes across all mission areas of Integrated Training Systems (ITS) Family of Systems (FOS). Using your prowess and experience, help our customer define, document, and follow an open systems approach using modular design, standards-based interfaces, and widely supported consensus-based standards in hardware, software, subsystems, and elements that comprise the specific system. Technical Writer Responsibilities Include: Performing technical/engineering processes relating to software development and design for the purposes of developing and maintaining software operator/user manuals and IA system administrator documentation. Creating and publishing technical documentations and manuals. Collecting and interpreting technical data or information and coordinates layout for publication. Contributing to moderately complex aspects of a project. Working independent and collaborative in nature. Minimum Qualifications: High School or GED Diploma. Three (3) years of full-time professional experience writing operational/ maintenance/ installation data documentation using standard military practices.
