Ready to shape the future of science and global health? ATCC, a pioneer in biomaterials manufacturing, is seeking a Technical Writer in Manassas, VA with a scientific background. This position is hybrid (4 days onsite per week, 1 day remote).
This position is within ATCC Federal Solutions Business Development group. The successful candidate will support AFS's writing efforts, including federal proposals. The candidate will be expected to help write the technical section of proposals with SME support, and this role requires a scientific background.
Responsibilities
- Develop, Write, and Review Scientific Documentation: Create and edit material for reports, SOPs, product information sheets, and federal proposals. Review scientific literature and data to authenticate documented manufacturing specifications.
- Documentation Creation: Produce instructional manuals, work instructions, protocols and documentation projects.
- Quality Assurance: Authenticate manufacturing specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ISO standards.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a science related field and 2-5 years' experience or equivalent experience.
- Experience writing/submitting scientific literature (federal proposals preferred; marketing literature or scientific papers).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Technical writing and editing experience
- Detail oriented
- Computer proficiency
- Good verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills required for BioServices website maintenance and data mining
