Job Details: We are a Building Energy Solutions firm located north of Boston that provides advanced building automation systems and solutions.

We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our team who would be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and/or replacing control components and systems. If you have a knack for problem-solving and a deep understanding of automation and control systems, this job could be a perfect fit for you.

  • Applicants should have prior field experience and be comfortable working with Tridium Niagara
  • In-Office position with the flexibility to work 1-2 days from home per week

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate directly with customers and team members via phone, email, screen share, etc. to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot comfort calls and help diagnose equipment failures using BMS software
  • Program small additions to existing projects.
  • Update Graphics and as-builts after small projects'
  • Determine next actions and seek clarity on vague or ambiguous reports from customers.
  • Research, identify, develop and recommend corrective measures to address technical issues identified in the field or in-house.
  • Help customers maintain the reliability and performance of their systems and address any potential technical problems utilizing fault diagnostics & detection (FDD) platforms and traditional methods.
  • Assist Field Engineers with site-specific difficulties during new site commissioning as well as system extensions.
  • Assist sales by providing technical recommendations for sales leads and proposals for retrofits, upgrades and or enhancements to existing equipment.

MUST HAVE:
  • 2+ years of prior BAS/BMS or DDC Controls experience
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following platforms: Siemens, Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls, Alerton, Delta Controls, Trane, ALC or similar platforms
  • Tridium Niagara experience is required
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner.
