This is a full time, permanent position to start ASAP. The position is located in Belen, New Mexico. You must have the manufacturing experience to successfully perform the main responsibilities of the job, as detailed below.
Position Summary The Technical Services Manager is responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and upkeep of all company assets including equipment, and systems and coordinating any building requirements with the Facilities Manager, manage and execute capital as well as minor projects. In this role you will oversee Technicians and will be expected to ensure that health and safety regulations are followed, and coordinate with other departments to ensure that all maintenance activities are done efficiently and effectively. Independent judgement is necessary.
This will be primarily M-F 1 st shift but as a manager may be on-call in the event of an emergency. This is a full time permanent position with salary and bonus target. Responsibilities & Duties - Direct maintenance and repair of all process, production and auxiliary equipment.
- Assure sufficient supply of required equipment and material for effective performance and ensure that purchase orders are initiated as needed.
- Verify necessary data, records and reports, as well as the lifecycle of the molds are maintained.
- Ensure participation and cooperation in company implemented programs, certifications, and regulations.
- Maintain and execute the PM program through SAP, and establish with production scheduling of downtime.
- Coordinate capital budget planning and execution, collaborate with D&A department on new implementations.
- Follow and enforce 6S principles.
- Directly lead & manage employees in the maintenance department.
- Responsible for hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Hold daily performance dialogue meetings with maintenance crew.
- This position oversees +/- 10 maintenance techs.
Working Location
- This position is onsite at Belen, NM
- Travel: up to 10% travel may be required on an annual basis.
Physical Effort: Crawling, crouching, kneeling, balancing, walking, standing, climbing, grasping, reaching/working overhead, carrying up to 50 lbs.
Environmental Risks: Chemical fumes, loud noises, vibration, extreme temps, confined spaces, Allergens (dust, mold, pollen)
