The ideal candidate will live in or around Seattle, Washington.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops implements, demonstrates and evaluates product-training programs.
- Initiates contacts with actual and potential customers, to include landscapers, loggers, golf courses, contractors, arborists and municipalities.
- Maintains appropriate communications with Sales, Territory, Technical and Branch Managers to include a 60-day activity calendar. Submits regular trip and program reports.
- Attends trade shows, dealer open houses, and other dealer-specific events to promote the general relations between STIHL and individual dealers and end users.
- Develops and implements training programs for product demonstrations, usage, service, etc. to be marketed to dealers and other parties in order to demonstrate, train and support STIHL products.
- Actively markets programs through various media including bulk mailings, telephone and personal solicitations, trade show activities and other functions as assigned.
- Conducts training at branch location, dealer locations or other designated venue.
- Transports all required materials and sets up/closes down training equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Specifications
- High school diploma or equivalent plus additional formal education or training.
- 3+ years of related technical experience, 2+ years of training experience, or demonstrated related ability is required.
- Experience with OPE is required.
- Ability to travel an average of 3-4 days per week of overnight travel by road and/or air is required.
- Frequent bending, lifting/moving up to 50 lbs., reaching, standing, walking, etc. is required.
- Ability to drive non-CDL truck and trailer is required.
- Sales prospecting experience is preferred.
