Key Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Excellent project management skills, demonstrated ability to effectively manage OEM factories
- Demonstrated ability to work within a matrix organization
- Experience in managing a product from early development builds through steady state production
- Experience in developing factory infrastructure requirements, process flows, end-to-end factory layout, setting equipment requirements
- Direct experience in developing processes, tools and equipment for final assembly
- Experience in performing DFM/DFT, Tolerance Analysis, DOE, Statistical Analysis, Statistical Process Control
- Functional understanding of surface mount technology and data center hardware is a plus
- JMP, Minitab & Six Sigma experience is a plus
Description of Responsibilities
- Technical lead for manufacturing operations at multiple vendors and production sites
- Driving contract manufacturer preparation for pre-production builds
- Production process development, documentation, optimization and validation
- Leads development of production equipment and fixturing in conjunction with CMs and equipment vendors
- Leads DFM analysis and works in conjunction with HW engineering in optimizing the design
- Manages development builds and production ramp
- Works all phases of a product from concept to repeat manufacturing to end of life
- Generates Product Quality Plan (PQP) across supply chain (component suppliers to FATP)
- Manages quality across the supply chain and leads root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Works with customer teams on tracking in-the-field failures/RMAs and drives corrective actions
- Manages weekly tech ops and quality updates
Requires travel to factories in Asia and North America ( 25% of the time)
