Position: Technical Editor
Location: Suffolk, VA (5 Days on-site) Minimum Requirements:
Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI within one year (Client will sponsor). Job Description Responsibilities:
• Technical writing and editing capability, including expertise in word processing; the establishment of documentation guidelines, procedures, and templates; and scheduling, coordination, production, and distribution of deliverables.
• Writing and editing original and rewriting existing material in accordance with defined standards and formats to clearly convey the intent of the document.
• Working with standard style guides and the ability to develop new writing and editing processes and procedures documents as necessary.
• Providing written and oral communications skills needed to identify staff writing requirements and relay technical writing guidance to program and project personnel.
• Implementing and communicating effective internal review procedures to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables.
• Providing configuration management, the ability to multi-task and work well under strict deadlines, and strong research capabilities.
• Experience using graphics. Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in English or related field and 3 years' experience.
• Ability to collaborate and coordinate with Senior Level Personnel and organizations including OSD and Service staffs.
• Excellent information management skill.
• Ability to communicate and follow-up on scheduling, admin support, and task completion.
• Experience: 2-5 years' experience proofreading, copy editing, and publication layout.
• Familiarity with government and military testing terminology desired.
• Must be expert in MS Word, familiar with MS Publisher and Adobe Acrobat.
