Senior Accountant - Technical Accounting

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant with a strong background in technical accounting to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a CPA or CPA-eligible candidate with a passion for accuracy and a desire to contribute to the financial success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all aspects of complex accounting transactions, ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant industry standards.

Conduct in-depth technical accounting research to resolve complex accounting issues and identify the most appropriate treatment for new or unique transactions.

Prepare and review complex accounting entries, including those related to revenue recognition, lease accounting, intangible assets, and financial instruments.

Participate in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and ensure their accurate application across the organization.

Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff on technical accounting matters.

Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports to support financial statement preparation and management decision-making.

Assist with the external audit process by providing necessary documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and coordinating with the audit team.

Stay up-to-date on the latest accounting standards and industry best practices.

Participate in the continuous improvement of internal accounting processes and controls.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

CPA license (preferred) or CPA-eligible candidate.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical accounting role.

Demonstrated expertise in applying complex accounting principles to a variety of transactions.

Strong understanding of GAAP and relevant industry standards.

Excellent research and problem-solving skills.

Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
