Teaching Assistant - 1st shift - $9-$15/hr based on experience

A well-established company in Middletown, OH is looking for Teaching Assistants for a temp-to-hire position.

Position Details:

Candidates needed for a teaching assistant position in Middletown, OH. This is a 1st shift position with the hours of 9am-6pm and a starting pay of $9-$15 based on experience

You can also receive PeopleFirst Staffing bonus of $50 for a referral bonus when you refer a friend after they complete 80 hours.

Position overview:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in coordinating and implementing educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.

Assist in planning individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth.

Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.

Ensure all center policies and state regulations met.

Ensure a healthy classroom environment- including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.

Assist in maintaining accurate records, forms, and files.

Maintain personal, professional development plans to ensure continuous quality improvement, including fifteen clock hours in specialized training.

Must be willing to be flexible to assist in any area needed.

Educational and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Preferred two years of professional childcare experience.

Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.

High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and foster a team environment.

A strong understanding of child development.

Excellent organizational and people skills.

Preferred infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.

High School Diploma required.

CDA or Associate Degree in ECE or related field of study with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE.

Must be willing to take specialized training chosen in collaboration with the teacher and Director.
