THE ROLE:

AMD is searching for aTax Senior Manager to join the Tax Department.

Collaborate with US and global members of the Tax Department supporting tax accounting, compliance, planning, and controversy.

As a Senior Manager, you will utilize your deep knowledge and experience in different tax functions to "plug and play" as a key resource to the Tax Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and operationalize tax models for strategic tax planning, global tax provision, and compliance (e.g., Legal entity restructure, GILTI, FDII, Pillar 2).
  • Optimize technology solutions to transform processes to increase effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Execute strategies and drive implementation of solutions.
  • Evaluate business and corporate transactions, identifying tax risks and provide solutions.
  • Assist with the quarterly and annual worldwide income tax provision for US GAAP and Non-GAAP reporting, including disclosures, filings and requirements.
  • Assist with all aspects of US taxation, including Federal & State income tax compliance.
  • IRS audit defense supporting Tax Director through entire cycle, Appeals, Resolution.
  • Optimize the Company's global tax structure and minimize cash taxes.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with team members, business partners, external auditors, and advisors.
  • Monitor and evaluate new and pending legislation.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Progressive years of senior level combined public accounting and industry experience in corporate income tax.
  • Expert knowledge of US federal and state income tax law and regulations, including transfer pricing and intercompany transactions.
  • Working knowledge of IRS audit procedures.
  • Analytical thinker. Solid project management skills. Attention to detail, organization and follow-through.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (or related) and/or Master's in tax, CPA a plus.
