Our organization is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Tax Senior to join our tax practice. This is a hybrid role that requires expertise in tax preparation, corporate tax, tax compliance, tax advisory, tax returns, and partnership tax. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for a variety of clients. Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our clients.
  • Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, benefit funds, real estate, and exempt organizations.
  • Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate an understanding of client businesses.
  • Review tax returns prepared by staff and make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities.
  • Conduct complex tax research and prepare memoranda outlining findings and conclusions.
  • Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies and assist in tax audits.
  • Assist with business development efforts, including presentations and proposals.
  • Provide tax planning and compliance to various clients in a wide variety of industries.
  • Manage, direct, and monitor multiple client services teams on client engagements.
  • Plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects in a wide variety of industries; provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; and manage to budget.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend.
  • Proficiency in Tax Preparation, Corporate Tax, Tax Compliance, Tax Advisory, Tax Returns, and Partnership Tax.
  • CPA certification or working towards this certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, Master's degree in Taxation preferred.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills.
  • Strong management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple engagements and client service teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel).
  • Experience with other software programs such as QuickBooks and tax preparation software (i.e. CCH ProSystem fx) is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
