Job Details

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and review various tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns. Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations while maximizing available deductions and credits.
  • Tax Research: Conduct thorough research on tax laws, regulations, and specific issues to provide accurate and up-to-date information to clients and team members.
  • Client Engagement: Assist in managing client relationships, gathering necessary tax-related information, and addressing client inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Tax Planning Support: Contribute to tax planning efforts by assisting in analyzing tax implications of different scenarios, identifying potential tax-saving opportunities, and providing recommendations.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax return documentation, calculations, and workpapers, adhering to the firm's quality standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, provide support, and contribute to the overall success of client engagements.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, attend relevant training, and participate in continuing education to enhance your technical skills.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior tax associates, fostering their professional growth and development.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA qualification is highly preferred.

years of experience in tax-related roles within a CPA firm (the number of years can vary based on the seniority level required).
  • Solid understanding of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in tax software and MS Office suite, including Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
