We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Tax Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the tax strategy for a leading company in the finance industry. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in LIHTC, HUD audits, and the real estate industry. You will be responsible for overseeing the tax planning, compliance, and provision activities, ensuring they align with the company's financial goals. Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of tax accounting and compliance, ensuring adherence to the latest tax laws and regulations.
2. Manage and optimize tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability and risk.
3. Coordinate and execute accurate and timely HUD audits and LIHTC compliance.
4. Provide expert guidance on tax implications related to the real estate industry.
5. Collaborate with the finance team to align tax strategies with the company's financial goals.
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities.
7. Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
8. Review and approve corporate tax returns and disclosures.
9. Monitor and analyze tax regulatory developments and tax law changes, advising management on the impact on the business.
10. Drive process improvements and implement tax technology solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in tax management, preferably within the finance industry.
3. Proven experience with LIHTC, HUD audits, and the real estate industry.
4. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
5. Exceptional leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a high-performing team.
6. Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals.
8. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
10. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately while working in a fast-paced and vibrant environment.
