Position Overview: The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing the companys tax compliance, planning, and consulting activities. This position will provide leadership and guidance to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, and keep the organization up-to-date on ever-changing tax legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret tax laws, regulations and rulings to identify potential issues and opportunities for the company
  • Prepare and review C-Corp, S-Corp, and other tax returns and ensure tax compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Collaborate with the companys external auditors and consultants to provide accurate information for the preparation of financial statements and tax returns
  • Identify and analyze areas of potential tax risk and devise strategies to mitigate such risks
  • Develop and prepare tax strategies and plans that are both compliant and maximize the companys tax benefits
  • Prepare responses to inquiries from government agencies and other external parties
  • Keep current on the latest changes in tax laws and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • CPA certification
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in a Tax Manager role
  • Proficiency with corporate tax compliance, planning, and consulting
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
