Overview of the Tax Manager role
- Review and prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations and partnerships.
- Prepare research memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, and other documents
- Train and supervise staff.
- Review work of staff.
- Work closely with Partners to satisfy the needs with planning compliance.
- Understand and manage firm risk on tax services performed.
- Manage multiple clients, budgets and production goals.
- Build new and existing client relationships.
Requirements of the Tax Manager
- Bachelor's Accounting
- 7+ years of public accounting experience, with supervisory experience.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to build client relations.
